It is with great sadness that we lay to rest our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gloria Zimmer. Gloria passed on October 22, 2024 and is now with her husband, second child and parents. She is survived by her daughters Nikki Chuml and Johnna Rodgers, sons-in-law Mark Chuml and Pierre Rodgers, grandchildren Jenifer Rodgers, Jonathan Rodgers, Megan Cazarez (Alex Cazarez), Stephanie Abraham-Chuml (Stacy Abraham-Chuml) Matthew Chuml (Callie Chuml) and great grandchildren Antonio Cazarez, Isabel Cazarez and Connor Chuml. Gloria loved her family and loved spending as much time with them as she could.
Gloria worked many years as an office manager at a large machine shop and a textile company. She prided herself in balancing the books to the penny all on paper, no computers. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting, sewing and in the last few years, she loved making jewelry. She was born in Denver, CO and moved to Sierra Madre, California in 1961. She then moved to Covina, California in 1964 and always hoped to move back to Colorado. She moved to Upland, CA in 1988 and then to Ontario, California where she resided at Brookdale Assisted Living Center until her death. She was an ambassador for the residents and taught a crocheting class, which she loved.
Services in her honor will be Friday, January 10, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Upland with a Rosary at 10:00am and Mass at 10:30am. A graveside service will be held after at Riverside National Cemetery. A gathering after the graveside service will be held at Mimi’s Cafe at 16933 Sierra Lakes Pkwy in Fontana. Please join us for lunch and good memories.
