

Hildegard Gertrude Wagonbrenner King gained her angel wings on February 15, 2024. Hilda was born on December 31, 1938 in Wurtzberg Germany to Rudolf and Helene Wagonbrenner. She met and married Thomas King when he was stationed in her hometown. In 1960, Tom and Hilda welcomed their first son James, followed by the birth of their second son, Joeseph in 1961. The King family lived on a military base in Germany for the next on serval different military tours of duty. Throughout the years they lived in Germany, Tom, Hilda, Jim and Joe traveled extensively throughout Europe while Tom served in the United States Army. In 1978 they moved to Alta Loma, California where they raised their sons, welcomed grandkids and great grandkids.
Hilda, Oma to her grandkids and great grandkids, loved painting, sewing, reading, and crafting. She also enjoyed gardening, walking, and being outdoors. Hilda found a way of combing her love of crafting with her love of people. She could often be found attending various clubs/groups to improve her skills and deepen her friendships. Beyond crafting, Tom and Hilda both had a love of visiting different casinos.
Hilda was predeceased by her parents, her soulmate and husband of 62 years, Thomas King, her brother Roland, and Tommy her infant son.
Hilda is survived by her son James (Stephanie), grandchildren Alexis Sjol (Adam), Seth King, and two great granddaughters Tabitha and Evelyn, who always brought a smile to Oma's face, her son Joseph, her sister Marianne, brother Burt, many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A graveside service for Hildegard will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518.
