Isabel was born June 17, 1934, to parents Miguela and Eduardo in the Philippines. She then entered into rest on April 10, 2026.
In her early years, Isabel was childhood friends with her husband, Rudy, whom she met through her older sister. Isabel dedicated herself to caring for others, retiring as a certified nurse assistant after serving her community for over a decade.
Isabel found joy in simple, meaningful comforts. She loved parties, and took every chance to get together with family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was go out to eat, being a foodie herself, she especially enjoyed crab, oranges, and any noodle dish. No matter the occasion, Isabel loved taking photos, and would always be sure to have someone take her picture. Among her other joys were country music and love songs, sewing, crochet, cooking, word search puzzles, and, above all, being with her family. She especially loved spending time in her garden, where she grew her flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Gifted with skilled hands and patient care, she was known for her talent in crocheting bed sheets, pillow cases, and more, and for her cooking that brought her loved ones together. Isabel is affectionately remembered for her independent nature, always reminding loved ones that "I can do it!".
Her love for her family was unwavering, and nothing mattered more to her than knowing her children and grandchildren were well and happy. She carried a quiet pride in her children, grandchildren, and other close relatives, and her affection was matched by a strong will that helped guide her through life. She also held close her faith, cherishing her church and her friends in the Philippines.
In her passing, Isabel is reunited with her beloved husband Rudy H Caluag, as well as her parents, brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her six children: Danny, Rose, Edwart, Willie, Robert, and Emelda; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Though she will be missed dearly, her memory and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
