Born April 4, 1945, Jackie will be remembered as a devoted, talented, and joyful presence in the lives of those who knew her.
Jackie met her husband, Ted, when she served as the caregiver for his mother and brothers—an introduction that grew into a life built on love, family, and devotion. Above all else, she valued family, and those closest to her would describe her as the life of the party, always gifted at bringing joy to others. She was especially proud of her great-grandchildren, who brought her deep happiness and pride.
A woman of generous spirit, Jackie volunteered at San Antonio Regional Hospital for 20 years, offering her time and care in service to others. In quieter moments, she found comfort in country music and loved to sit out on the front porch, enjoying the simple peace of home.
Jackie was preceded in her passing by her husband, Howard Theodore Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Ronda Lawrenz and son-in-law, Vince Day; her granddaughters, Megan Lawrenz and McKenzie Lawrenz; her great granddaughter, Oakleigh Hollett; her great grandson, Keaton Hollett; her sister, Faye Stearns; and her brother, Jim Boitnott.
A Visitation for Jackie will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762, on March 12, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
