

Jim previously owned Armstrong and Sons Termite and Pest Control for 20 years. He was a member of Via Verde Country Club, and proudly served on the Board of First Services HOA.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war, serving in the Canine Corps while in Vietnam. When he returned home, he joined the LAPD and served as a police officer for 12 years.
His hobbies were golf and more golf, and also traveling, along with more golf.
Survivors are his wife Emy; Daughter Stephanie Armstrong Winkworth and husband Sandro; sons J.D. Armstrong and wife Yvonne, Scott Armstrong and wife Kristi. Cousins, Nonnia and Bob Sundermeyer. Grandchildren: Anthony, Tamara, Samantha, Jack, Charlie, Jordan, and Josiah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Vernice May Armstrong.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 12 from 2-5 P.M. at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, California. Services will immediately follow from 5-6 P.M. at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Rehab Department at Pomona Valley Hospital.
Jim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Everyone loved Jim for his wit and humor, always telling jokes in his efforts to make others laugh. He traveled extensively with his wife and cousins. Anytime you spent time talking to Jim, you could count on him finishing his conversation with "Have a Gooder".
