A memorial mass for Maria will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Peter & St Paul Catholic Church, 9135 Banyan St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91737. Reception to follow at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Ontario Airport,

Maria was born in Yuma, Arizona in 1959 to Mary and Raul Lopez. The 2nd of 9 children, she grew up in Yuma and attended both Immaculate Conception School and Yuma High School.

Maria met the love of her life Warren in 1982 whilst working at the Nissan Dealership in Yuma. Warren would come in and order parts from her, he enjoyed her so he asked her out on a date and from that point on they were a couple. Maria and Warren were married in June of 1989, moving to California soon after. They lived and raised two children together, Tommy and Alicia (Lee). Her family was her everything.

Throughout her time in California, Maria lived in Bakersfield, Upland, Beaumont and settled in Rancho Cucamonga. For many years she worked at Mark Christopher Auto Center, and later moved on to work at Beaver Medical (now Optum Health) in Redlands, in the office.

Maria was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, godmother and friend but her favorite name and role was Nana. She treasured her grandchildren Aedan and Eva, never failing to spoil them at every opportunity.

Maria was pragmatic, loving, and with a patient kindness, exuded calm and comfort in every situation. She loved her family, country music, Chinese food and cold beer. Maria was great at cooking, baking and having a good time. She attended the Country Music Festival in Nashville each year with her dear friend Loretta.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents Raul and Mary, her sister Angela and her two nephews. She is survived by her husband Warren, her children Tommy and Alicia, her grandchildren Aedan and Eva, her 5 sisters and 2 brothers, Raquel Lopez, Terri (Mike) Gibbs,

Anna (Drew) Daniels, Francie Lopez, Rebecca (Luke) Clemence, Sergio Lopez and Xavier (Jenn) Lopez. 14 Nephews and Nieces, 10 Great Nephews and Nieces and 3 Great, Great Nephews and Nieces.
