Marie R. DiCarlo

MARIE DICARLO, Born in Corona, New York, 89 years ago, on May 20, 1921, Marie DiCarlo passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011. In 1939 her family moved to San Bernardino, where she met and married Victor DiCarlo. Victor and Marie were happily married for 62 years. Her husband, her four siblings, and her daughter, Angela DiCarlo Bergman, preceded Marie in death. Marie was a very active member of the Etiwanda community. She dedicated many years of outstanding service to the Etiwanda PTA, and also served as a Girl Scout leader. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Parish, contributing unselfishly to the rebuilding of the Church, and was a member of the Sons of Columbus. Marie enjoyed many years of bowling with the Upland Bowling League; she was a fierce competitor. Marie is survived by two of her three children: Andriana White of Alta Loma, and Joseph DiCarlo of Washington. Marie is grandmother to Tommy and John Tompkins, Angela Tompkins Moreno, Marie A. DiCarlo and Carrie Fay, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Jessee, Danielle, Brooke, Everett, Ricardo, Yvangelina and Bobby. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. A Viewing will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, CA 91762, between 6 P.M. and 7:30 P.M., followed by recitation of the Rosary. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 11, at 10 A.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2110 N. San Antonio Avenue, Upland, CA 91762. Interment to follow at Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
