So sad to learn about Mikey and his father passing on. His brother Ryan knew me for six years between 1989 and 1995. We had a parting of ways but I had to move on and evolve into the person I should have always been. My heart goes out to all of you and I wish to let the past go, as father and son are now at eternal peace.

Judy and Mike made a special trip to the Northwoods Inn, in Covina, so Judy could connect with her Highschool classmates at this luncheon.  It was hard for them because of their physical challenges but they made it. Everyone who knows Judy was so glad to meet her wonderful, sweet son .    Thank you Mikey for being there that day it was so great to see you.  I know you are at peace and happy looking down from heaven .🙏🏼😇

I am saddened with the news of Mike's recent passing. I send along my condolences to his family.

My memories go back to when Mike was in fifth grade. He was a gentle giant even back then. He was one of my students and kept me on my toes. He was sweet but a bit of a rascal. Every time I think of Mike which I have often over the years a big smile comes across my face. I will never forget the Amtrak field trip our class went on to San Diego. At one point the kids went off in groups and then we all reunited before boarding for our return. Another student said to me "Mrs. Aleman, Mike has a cigar!!" When I confronted Mike about his purchase he looked at me sheepishly and admitted that the guy in the cigar shop had sold it to him no questions asked! I gave him my stern face but over the years have laughed at the thought of Mike fooling the cigar man that he was old enough to buy one!

Mike had a good heart and it was hard to be mad at him for anything he did. I am happy to hear he chose a career he enjoyed and brought happiness to all who knew him.  May he rest in peace in God's loving arms.

As our next door neighbor for thirty seven years we will always remember 'Mikey' or 'Little Mike', (though he wasn't very little).  We knew him since he was about 13 years old when we moved into the neighborhood.  Throughout the years, we recall seeing him grow up through different stages.  
     One thing we remember is that Mikey always greeted Shel and me.  He always went out of his way to say hi to us and would often stop for a little chat.  We also felt he always offered to  us, a high degree of respect and politeness with his neighborly greetings and conversations.   We very much appreciated his attitude of respectfulness and politeness, together with his willingness to help in anyway he could.  
     I remember when Mikey returned home from his time living and working in LasVegas as a sous chef, he shared how much he had learned about preparing fine meals.  We used to discuss cooking and he got so excited when he saw I had planted an herb garden in my side yard.  He took note of each herb and  talked about which herbs were best with various dishes.  He told me about the versatility of the herb rosemary.  I told him the Spanish translation of rosemary which is romero was my maiden name.  He said he should call me rosemary after that, but he didn't.

     More recently before we moved, we admired his positive attitude despite his painful physical challenges.  He looked forward to his daily outing to his favorite places to get a hamburger, burritos or whatever he was hungry for at Tams,  
    We saw his loving dedication to you, Judy.  He promised as your 2nd born, to be your forever friend, your faithful helper and companion and would be here for you as you grew old, and he told you not to worry.  My heart breaks for you a million times, and pray that God will give you the strength and love to get through this difficult time.  May Mikey's spirit be with you to bring you love, comfort, and strength as you grieve in your incomprehensible loss.  

To my best friend forever. We have known each other for close to 68 years. That is more than half a century.  We have stayed in touch and shared all the ups and downs of life.  When we were young, it was weddings, child birth and good times. The years flew by and we did not see each other as much and it seemed when we did it was funerals for our parents. No matter what with each year our love did become stronger and stronger because time is precious. The loss of your sweet beautiful child who you loved so much must be the most tragic thing a mother can endure, especially because you cannot share your grief with your husband and Mike's father . He is so sick and in the hospital.  My prayers for relief go out to you and your family.  Anyone who knows you knows you are a sweet wonderful person who deserves peace.

Mike always seemed to have a smile and a friendly word for everybody he ran across in his life. I’ll always remember his cheery “Hey, Jeremy! How ya doing?” every time we crossed paths. Even if it was  just in passing walking from the car to the front door, it always made the day a little brighter. 

I have known Mikey’s mom Judy my entire life, as I grew up next door to her when I was a child. She is still wonderful friends with our family and my older sister Susan who went to school with her.  Judy babysat my sister, brother and I when we were children.  My family has been part of Judy’s life as she had all three of her boys, Mikey being the middle child.  There are many times throughout the years that the Fedorsic family would attend family events at my mom Joan’s house.  All of my memories of Mikey include his quiet way and bright contagious smile.  Also, his dad “Big Mike” is a very tall and large guy which Mikey grew into a close equivalent.   I can see why a lot of his friends refer to him as “big Mike” as well even though I will always think of him as “Little Mikey”.   My heart goes out to this precious angel and his family and trust that he is in an amazing place.  All my Love, Yvonne

I have so many memories of Michael coming into  Spires  restaurant with his  mom, dad and brother  Ryan ,I  was working as a  waitress and  they were always my favorite  family to wait on,Lil Mike  always amazed me how tall he was and I  loved to call him  Shorty..he was a  gentle  giant....and would always  joke  back with me, I  know his family was very  important to him, he would  share  that with me  often...gone way too soon....but never  ever  forgotten...I  know  I will see my friend in the  next  life...I look forward to  calling him  Shorty...and  having a  few laughs  like we used to...

This Rucker family loves Big Ike . He had a heart of gold gentle giant because I am 5 foot so he was a giant to me.  He never had a bad thing to say and will truly missed . Big Ike I know you see this so you know what you meant to this family . I will see you again.  Until then please find  Lil Eric . See you on the flip side .
