

On Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, Michael Eugene Sanchez, loving father of three adult children and grandfather of four wonderful children, passed away at the age of 61. Michael was born on March 17, 1959, to Michael Sanchez and Otilia "Tillie" Ramirez in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario in 1977. He joined the army after high school earning the rank of Staff Sergeant as a Senior Intelligence Analyst from 1977-1988. Michael worked as a Senior Probation Detention Officer with the Los Angeles Probation Department in Sylmar at Barry J Nidorf Juvenile Hall and in Downey at Los Padrinos from 1988 to 2013. Michael worked as a behavioral health technician from 2015-2017. In 2019, Michael Sanchez, at the age of 59. Michael went back to college at San Bernardino Valley Community College to pursue his degree so he could be a substance abuse counselor. At SBVCC, Michael became a certified Human Trafficking advocate, a Domestic Violence advocate, and he was President of the Human Services Club. Michael dedicated his life in service of others. He was a Christian, patriot, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and a friend to many. Michael Sanchez was preceded in death by his father, Michael, mother, Tillie, sister Carla, as well as, recently, his niece, uncle and cousin this year. Michael is survived by his 3 adult children, daughters Michelle Sanchez, Minna Sanchez, and son Luke Sanchez, as well as, 4 grandchildren, Brandon Lizama, Alec Hurley, Amelia Gonzalez, and Daniel McGann, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and a nephew.
