

With his family by his side, Phillip O. Perez 79, of Ontario passed away at Pomona Valley Hospital, February 15, 2015. Phillip was born in Claremont. He graduated from Chaffey High School in 1954, he married in 1956 to Vickie Perez and raised four children in Ontario. He retired from Laird Construction in 1982 after which he started his own business: Perez Tax and Bookkeeping Service. He was an active member of several professional organizations and social clubs: Riverside Tax Consultants Association, American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. He was President of the Ideal Club, he was a volunteer for Sociedad Progresista Mexicana Inc. and he was a member of the Rancho Rod and Reel Fishing Club. Phillip is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vickie Perez, his son Jerry (Lisa) Perez. Daughters; Alice (Fito) Moraga and Diane Perez. Brothers: Jesse "Pucky" Perez, Paul Perez. Sisters: Catalina Lira, Lupe Garcia. 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by his daughter Tina Martel. Viewing will be held at Drapers Mortuary Thursday, February 26th, from 4-6 p.m. Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday February 27th at St. Margret Mary's in Chino at 10:00 A.M.
