

Russell was born on January 1, 1955, in Gallipolis, Ohio to parents Mary and Russell Ray Bomar Sr. He then entered into rest on May 1, 2026 at the age of 71.
Russell served in the United States Navy and went on to a successful career as a general contractor. His steady workmanship and practical skill were evident not only in his profession, but also in the way he approached life. He was capable, dependable, and committed to doing things well.
Russell met his wife, Carmen, on Ream Field Naval base, beginning a partnership rooted in devotion and enduring care. Throughout his life, he placed deep value on his family, offering his presence with constancy and warmth. Known as a talented carpenter & general contractor, he was also, in the truest sense, a very likeable person, someone whose easy manner and genuine regard for others left people feeling welcomed and respected.
He was involved with Reformers Unanimous, reflecting a life attentive to faith, encouragement, and the importance of community.
Russell was preceded in his passing by Mary Sue Rey & Ernest Rey.
He is survived by Carmen M. Bomar, Shannon Ray Bomar, Michele Renee Bomar, Beth Raylene Bomar, Steven Anthony Reynolds, Nicolas Robert Reynolds, Makennah Torrie Rickenbaker, James William Bradford, and Amanda Lynn Bradford.
Though deeply missed, Russell's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
