

Theodore Charles Perez passed away at his home in Upland, California on February 6, 2016. He was 80 years old. Ted was born to Charles and Vere Perez in Pomona, California on March 13, 1935. He served in the United States Air Force in the late 50's and then worked as a fire fighter for over 30 years as a bomb squad commander as well as serving as the Director of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators. His interests and passions included working as a survival instructor, hunting, camping and road trips, helping young and old with their recovery through AA, making his grandkids laugh and banana splits.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughters, Tedi, Tami, and Teri; his grandchildren, Amanda, Staci, and Katherine; and his great-grandchildren, Brandon, Seth, Ruby, Adam, and Emma. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, California 91762 on Thursday, February 11, 2016 with a visitation beginning at 12:00 PM and funeral following at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G Street, Ontario, California immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the Salvation Army.
