Born June 14, 1944, in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte B. (Brenner) and Edmund C. Ryan. She retired from Crane Plumbing where she worked as a secretary. Carol enjoyed playing cards with her friends, traveling, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She tried her hand at the casinos whenever she was able. Some of her best moments were spent with her friends and neighbors. Her greatest joy in life was being in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren creating everlasting moments.
Carol is survived by three children, Thomas (Lori) Sneeringer, Anne (David) Hagenow, and John (Geneva) Sneeringer; her committed partner of 17 years, Gerald Hoff; nine grandchildren, Megan (Keith) Lewis, Kyle (Christina) Bond, Andrew (Taylor) Sneeringer, Abby Sneeringer, Joe McGoldrick, Edie McGoldrick, Molly McGoldrick, Sophie Sneeringer, and Lena Sneeringer; seven great-grandchildren, Addison Bond, Garrett Lewis, Jack Lewis, Bennett Bond, Cooper Bond, Zane Sneeringer, and Chloe Hagenow; and a nephew, Chuck (Bernadette) Ryan.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Skip” Sneeringer; grandson, Elliott Colvin; and a brother, Ken (Mary Lou) Ryan.
The family will welcome guests on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Kathy Pennington officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery beside her husband.
