Born on September 13, 1952, Dave married the love of his life, Anna Webel, in 1973. Together, they moved to Coconut Creek, Florida, where Dave used his skills and determination to plan and build a life and career. They later moved to Mansfield, Ohio, starting his own company, Brauchler Plumbing and Heating, as owner and operator, dedicating his life’s work to being a respected master plumber.
Earlier in his life, Dave also served as a medic in the US Army, a role that reflected his commitment to helping others. Beyond his professional life, Dave loved fishing, golfing, singing with the Christian Choristers, traveling, and playing chess online with his son and grandchildren.
A man of strong faith, Dave was a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church and served as a trustee for many years as well as being a board member of the Apostolic Christian Church Rest Home. His dedication to his faith and community endured until his passing. Dave will be remembered for his warm heart, hard work, and deep love for his family and faith. His legacy of service, skill, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Dave is survived by his wife, Anna Brauchler; children, Heather (Kevin) Haring and Justin (Michelle) Brauchler; cherished grandchildren, Micah Haring, Maddie Haring, Megan Haring, Adelaide Brauchler, Eloise Brauchler, Imogen Brauchler, and Briana (Nick) Weilbacher; twin sister, Debra Balok; siblings-in-law, Rudy (Olga) Webel, Herta Green, John Webel and Hank Neider; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Brauchler; parents, Marjorie “Marge” (Butts) and Charles “Charlie” Brauchler; sister, Donna Neider; in-laws, John and Anna (Pfeiffer) Webel; and siblings-in-law, Frieda (Webel) (Martin) Gottschling, Juanita Gottschling, and Peter (Linda) Webel.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Erwin Webel officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery with military honors presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church Rest Home.
