Born May 18, 1928, in Richland County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora (Carpenter) Furr. She attended Shelby High School and was a wonderful homemaker her entire life-skills she learned growing up in a large family. She did her part serving her country by working at the Shelby Depot during WWII. Edna was always busy doing something. From gardening, crocheting, and remodeling homes— she was very handy— she was in constant motion. She loved her animals like family, and they were a bit spoiled. Edna will be remembered fondly for her energetic, outspoken, determined and, most of all, loving spirit. She will be deeply missed.
Edna is survived by four children, Rusty (Kay) Zeigler, Doug Zeigler Sr., Chris (Vicky) Zeigler and Kathy Thompson; ten grandchildren, Macheal, Doug Jr., Tara, Cierra, Andy, Isabella, Jimmy, April, Archie, and Robbie; many great and great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Herb (Kate) Furr, Dick Furr and Fred (Jennifer) Furr; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Zeigler; daughter, Linda Bikar; a grandchild; and four brothers, Jim Jr., Lloyd, and Willie Furr and Jerry Shaw.
There will be no visitation or service observed. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
