Harold retired from Empire Detroit Steel following over 40 years as a steel worker. He was a member of Lexington First Congregational Church. A blacksmith and welder, Harold could always be found in the garage tinkering on something. He was a member of the Crestline Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two sons, Craig Hunt of Ontario and Doug (Val) Hunt of Bay View, Ohio; five grandchildren, Melissa Warwick, Jessica Gaskamp, Dustin (Deborah) Hunt, Noah Hunt and Destinee Hunt; nine great grandchildren, Cody, Rebekah, Charity, Hannah, Bethany, Abigail, Caden, Brandon and Kaitlyn; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Marlyn M. Hunt on September 11, 2020; a son, David Hunt; a grandson, Ryan Keith Hunt; and two brothers, James (Jean) Hunt and Richard (Barbara) Hunt.
Friends may call from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2023 at Wappner Funeral Directors – Ontario, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Ontario Cemetery.
