He was born September 1, 1968, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving for 12 years. Jon received his bachelor’s degree from Park University. He was currently employed by the Department of Defense in the Defense Logistics Agency where he worked for more than 25 years. He was a member of many social organizations including: Amvets, American Legion, Elks, Moose, Mansfield Masonic Lodge #35 F.&A.M., Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star-Ruth Chapter, Knights Templar and was very active in Baku Grotto. Jon was also a member of the Lexington Athletic Boosters.
On December 8, 1990, he married Quila Row and they began a wonderful life. Jon was always helping someone-he had a heart for giving of his time and talents. He was well respected, honorable, caring, determined and a bit hard-headed. Jon was one of kind, down to earth and loving to those who had the privilege of knowing him. In his little free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with friends at his various social clubs.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Quila Sanders; a son, Cody Sanders of Mansfield; and his father, Cecil Sanders of West Palm Beach, FL. Jon was preceded in death by his mother, Judy D. Crowl Pack.
A celebration of Jon’s life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Baku Grotto Hall, 747 S. Main St., Mansfield, Ohio. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
