She was born March 5, 1954, in Mansfield to the late Harold and Mary (Buzzard) Spring. Karen was a longtime member of First Friends Church and most recently, Ontario Christian Church. She enjoyed playing piano for the church congregation during services. Karen had a giving heart and was always helping people, making them meals when they were sick or spending time with them. An area homemaker her entire life, she enjoyed cooking, baking and cake decorating.
Karen is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Boggs; two daughters, Kristi and Tricia Boggs; two grandchildren, Allena (Logan) McGowan and Nicole Lucido; two brothers, Harold Spring Jr. and Les (Bonnie) Spring; a sister-in-law, LaDawn Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by five siblings, Beverly Oswalt, Ronnie Hostetter, Gail (Sandy) Spring, Glen Spring and Heather Spring.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Bryan Lamm will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 am with additional visitation beginning at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
