

Ms. Mason was born on September 16th, 1941 in Boston Massachusetts to her parents, Matthew and Margaret Mason. She attended Suffolk University, majoring in Journalism. She also attended San Francisco State University and resided in that city for over 20-years. After moving to Florida with her family she studied Communications Media and Creative Writing at the University of Central Florida. She also worked as an advertising copywriter, newspaper reporter, and legal secretary.
Ms. Mason was a free spirited woman who was very young at heart. Although not particularly religious she was extremely spiritual and enjoyed researching and learning about the spiritualism of different cultures, both past and present. She had varied hobbies which included photography, painting, and of course writing. Her greatest personal accomplishment was the self publication of her three fiction novels – When One Door Closes, Unintended Consequences, and A Tenuous Thread. At the time of her death she was working on a fourth novel.
Ms. Mason is survived by her daughter's, Renee Alvarado and Belinda DeLaby; her sister, Millicent DiMarco; her brother, Richard Mason; and grandaughter, Jann DeLaby. She is preceded in death by her brother's Noel Mason and Larry Mason.
A memorial will take place on April 18th at 11:00 a.m. at 321 Englenook Drive, Debary Florida 32713. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. Mason's life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to www.DoSomething.org.
