

Antonio Fernando Velez, 89, of Deltona, Florida passed away on September 24, 2019 in Orange City, Florida. Tony was born on May 30, 1930 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Maximinio and Juanita Velez. He was a retired bus driver and a member of the Hispanic Transit Society in New York. Tony was also a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, Council 6584. He helped with Food Pantry and was a Minister to the Sick. He enjoyed doing landscaping in the yard and helping those in need. He is preceded in death by his sister, Julia Arocho. Survivors include his beloved wife, Cecelia Velez; daughters, Edna “Iris” Velez, Madeline Velez, Jennifer Morales, Carmela Sarasky; son, David Sarasky; brothers, Fernando, Frankie, Pete and Maximinio Velez; sister, Felipa Morales; 10 grandchildren, Daniel Rivera, Jessica and Keegan McLaughlin, Jennifer Morales, Natasha Sarasky, David A. Sarasky, Jr., Jake Sarasky, Sara Sky, Madison and Gabriella Morales; 5 great grandchildren, Mason, Jake and John Morales, Daniel and Logan Herrera.
