Obituary for Audrey Carreiro

Audrey Jane Carreiro, nee Shriner, 82, of DeBary, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, at Advent Health Fish Memorial in Orange City, FL.

Audrey was born on September 1st, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late George R. and Audrey E. Shriner. In 1954 when she was 12 years old, she met the love of her life, Joseph “Jerry” Carreiro. Together they graduated from Ethan Allen Grade School and Lincoln HS. Jerry and Audrey were married on October 3,1964.

Audrey was the BEST wife, mother, and Nannie. She was caring, thoughtful, and she loved deeply. Her family was most important to her. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved to laugh and tell jokes and was always so full of fun. Audrey was a high roller in bowling, the Bingo Queen, and loved her poker games with her friends from New Jersey. She was happy to witness Donald Trump’s 2nd inauguration as the 47th President.

Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband. She is survived by her son Joseph Gerald, Jr. (Caryn), daughters Deneen Gail & Jenece Marie, and grandchildren Matthew Joseph, Michael Charles, and Nicole Renee.

A private family service and burial will take place on Friday, January 24 at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Orange City, FL. A visitation for Audrey will be held Friday, January 24, 2025, at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
