Age 90, born on February 1, 1928 ~ passed away on September 24, 2018. Betty moved to the Orlando/Deltona area about 45 yrs ago. She is originally from Miami, FL, She was a teacher in her early years, and was a stay at home Mom for most of her life. She was very involved in the church and taught CCD for many years. She loved cooking (per her request to be included here: her favorite meal to cook and eat was Pot Roast), sewing, gardening, crafts, and most of all loving and caring for all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her many friends that she considered family as well. Message to all from her: “Just Remember-I will ALWAYS love you!”
Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William J Duby Sr. Brothers: Berlin Saunders Jr and John “Jack” Saunders and parents: Berlin Saunders Sr. and Jennie (Scanlon) Saunders.
She is survived by her children: William Duby Jr, Joan Duffy (Charles “Bud”), Patricia Brown (Cliff), John Duby (Roseann), Catherine Duby, James Duby (Jamie) and Suzanne Hunt (Todd) and 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday October 8, 2018 12 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary, FL 32713. Memorial Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to St Jude Children’s Hospital. Arr. entrusted to Deltona Memorial Funeral Home.
