

He was born on June 5, 1940, in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Candido graduated from Naguabo High School and carried with him the strong values of faith, family, and hard work throughout his life.
On November 4, 1967, he married the love of his life, Margarita Hernandez. Together they built a life centered around devotion to family and community.
Candido dedicated his professional life to serving others as an Operating Room Technician at Lenox Hill Hospital. His steady hands, compassionate spirit, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on colleagues and patients alike.
Outside of his career, Candido had a deep passion for playing the guitar. Music brought him joy, and he loved sharing that joy with family and friends.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Margarita Hernandez; his children, Candido Hernandez Jr. and Ivelisse Hernandez; and his cherished grandchildren, Oscar, Cristina, Krystal, Eylisse, Nicole, Chris, Sofia, Alex; great grandchildren, Ethan, and Anastasia. He is also survived by his siblings, Wilfredo, Johnny, Irma, and Sarehi.
Candido will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his quiet strength, serving heart, and the music that so often filled his home. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, on February 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a committal service from 12:00 pm.
