Carlos S. Portieles, age 88, of Debary, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025. He was born in Havana, Cuba on June 20, 1936. He was married to the love of his life, Gladys, on November 12, 1966.
Carlos was a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He had a passion for traveling the world with his wife. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and volunteered at the food pantry and delighted in helping the needy. He loved and cherished his family and his St. Vincent de Paul family. Carlos will be missed by all who knew him.
Carlos is survived by his beloved wife, Gladys; son, Omar Portieles; daughter-in-law, Susan Yin; and granddaughter Olivia Portieles.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
