

Born on April 20 ,1928, in Athol Massachusetts, Charles was the son of Anthony and Dominica Vitello, and the last surviving sibling of fourteen children.
His life was deeply rooted in the values of family, faith,and hard work. Charles worked for many years as a supervisor at Rodney Hunt in Orange Massachusetts, and later at Springfield Foundry. After relocating to Florida, he continued his career and retired from Sparton Electronics. Known for his skill and determination, Charles built three homes and enjoyed working on building projects with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years Marguerite Helen Skinner Vitello and son Ralph Scott Vitello. Charles is survived by his son, Michael Vitello; his daughter Elaina Couturier and her husband Alan Couturier; and his daughter Shelly Agosto and her husband Josh Agosto. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Mike Vitello Jr , Jonathan Vitello, Nina Vitello, Sara Vitello, Isabella Agosto and fiance Nicholas Parsons, Nicholas Agosto and fiance Skyler Bunn, Jason Ellis and wife Carrie, Amanda Cormier and husband Jay and Lauren Cox and husband Nate. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Cade Vitello, Jacob and Nadia, Savy and Ty Ellis, Aili, Wilder and Bodie Cormier, and Beau and Mason Cox.
Charles leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched with kindness, humor, and generosity. Charles enjoyed the simple pleasures of life- being in nature, singing and dancing, playing Yahtzee with family, swimming in his pool, and tending to his yard. He will be remembered for his warm heart,strong spirit and the deep love he had for his family.
The family asks you to honor Charles' memory by spending time with loved ones, enjoying the outdoors, and sharing a moment of laughter- just as he would have wanted.
A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. A committal service will occur Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, 800 N. Clara Ave, DeLand, FL 32720.
