Corey Scott Rozell

Whitefield, ME, age 22, died tragically on February 18, 2011 in an automobile accident in New Mexico. He was predeceased by his brother, Jason Rozell in 2002. Corey is survived by his mother, Tammy Norton of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his dad, Jody Norton of Whitefield, ME; brother, Brian (Leanne) Rozell, Sr. of New Smyrna Beach, FL; nephew, Brian Rozell, Jr.; grandmothers, Dorothy Smith of Casselberry, FL and Natalie Rozell of Saratoga, NY; special friend, Brittany Newman of China, ME.

He was a 2008 graduate of Erskine Academy. He has served in the Coast Guard since 2008. He was assigned to the USCGC Kukui in Honolulu. He was attending New Mexico Military Institute, where he maintained a 3.2 grade average. He had been accepted into the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT to become an Officer. Corey was a true leader and was looking forward to a long career with the Coast Guard. There will be a memorial service at Erskine Academy on March 13th at 1PM. Corey will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11 am at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL 32763. Burial will immediately follow services in Osteen Cemetery.
