David was born in Mount Vernon, New York on July 13 1962. David was a proud graduate from Cornell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. David was married to Phyllis DiPietro on August 15 1993.
David had a career in Project Management with AT&T. He was a proud executive board member of the Debary Volunteer Firemen’s Association and served on the Central Florida Council for the Boy Scouts of America. He had a passion for traveling, volunteering in his community and visiting Disney World with his family.
David is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Butlien and Leatrice “Natalie” Zeleznik. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his daughter Rachel Haskell (Hunter), his brothers Barry (Robyn) and Peter as well and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for David’s friends and family in Florida will be held on Saturday, August 30 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home (1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, Florida 32763). A celebration of life for friends and family in New York will be announced at a later date.
