Deacon Lenny Lapointe

Deacon Lenny LaPointe age 69, born on June 8, 1941 in Lowell MA, passed away on December 31, 2010. Deacon was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Minister. Deacon Lenny was a member of St Clare Catholic Church in Deltona since it opened in early February of 1990, he is also a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus council # 10367, a member of the Knights of Columbus Assembly #1930 4th degree, he had also worked in the prison ministry and was head of the R.C.I.A. at St Clare Catholic Church.

Lenny went to high school at St. Thomas Aquinas High School formerly called Central Catholic High School in Fort Lauderdale. He worked as a manager of Eckerd Drug Store for many years. After moving to central Florida Deacon opened LaPointe Property Management. Since his retirement, Lenny has been serving the Catholic Community for over 5 1/2 years as a Deacon.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Patricia M. LaPointe; sons, Brian G.(Nancy) LaPointe of Fort Mill SC, Kevin K. (Eva) LaPointe of Frostrup Denmark; son of Beatrice LaPointe of Orange City FL; brother Kenneth (Claire) LaPointe of Ponte Vedra Beach FL; grandchildren Jeremy and Megan LaPointe.

Friends will be received on Wednesday January 5th from 6-8pm at the St Clare Catholic Church, 2961 Day Road Deltona, 386-789-9990 where a funeral mass will take place on Thursday, January 6th, at 10am.
