Age 89, of Shadydale Court, Deltona, FL died May 23, 2010 at Cunningham Elderly in Deltona.
Mr. Carlisle was born on February 18, 1921 in Waycross, Georgia, the son of Philip B. and Minnie Blackburn Carlisle. Don grew up in Fitzgerald, GA. He was united in marriage to his wife, Lillian, who preceded him in death in 1997. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. of Lindenhurst, NY.
Mr. Carlisle is survived by two sons, Kevin and his wife Lynn Carlisle and Roy Carlisle all of Deltona, FL; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Felisa.

Further visitation will be held on Monday, May 31st from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at Johnstons’ Wellwood Funeral Home, 305 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst, NY PH: 631-226-2220. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 1st at 11:00 am at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Air Force.
