He also was a supporting member of the Order of the Eastern Star and assisted his wife and many other family members in becoming a part of that group. He was a member of the Marine Corps Engineers; Central Florida Korean War Veterans Association 153; M.O.P.H. (Military Order of the Purple Heart) serving as an Inspector for Florida; and a lifetime member of the VFW.
