Frances was born to the late Elmer and Mentie Lamb on December 18, 1928 in Wilson, Oklahoma. She had two sisters Louesta Dyer and Patricia Wiggins. In her early childhood, Frances moved with her family to San Diego California where her father gained employment with Convair.
In her youth, Frances and her sisters shared many explorations on the family farm in Oklahoma and then experienced exciting city life in their teens. A favorite adventure was frequenting the local library only two blocks from home.
Frances married the late Daniel V. Keeney II on Christmas Eve in 1943. The couple had two children, Phillip E. Keeney and Dareld D. Keeney. After raising her boys, Frances went to work for Nichols, Stead, Boileau and Lamb as a switchboard operator and progressed to the position of Paralegal Executive Director, before retiring in 1990. During this period, Fran was also the president of the Board of the Pomona Valley Chapter of Executive Women.
In her retirement Fran enjoyed travelling, golf, bridge and time with family and friends. Fran experienced many adventures in her retirement which included travels to many countries in Europe and in the States. She even enjoyed a white water rafting adventure – one that resulted in pictures for proof.
During her retirement years, she rekindled a friendship with the Late David (Dave) Davison and this soon blossomed into a loving companionship. They shared many of the retirement adventures for several years.
Fran relocated to Deltona Florida in 2017, and resided there until her passing.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Daniel V. Keeney, her sons Phillip E Keeney, Dareld D Keeney, and her companion David Davison. She is survived by her two sisters Louesta Dyer and Patricia Wiggins, her Daughter in Law Conie Keeney, her grandchildren Renee Sammons, Anthony Keeney, Tammy Coulter, Diane Keeney, Daniel V. Keeney III, Lissa Coberley, fourteen great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
