

George Parker, age 91, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to George Parker and Dorothy Crass on June 27, 1932. His wife, Lorraine Parker, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Helayne Parker an Dena Winant (Michael), his four grandchildren, Kristina (Anita), Nicholas (Haley), Lauren (Mark), and Drew (Alaina), and three great granddaughters.
George served 2 years in the Air Force and then obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geology, a Bachelor's Degree in Business, and a Masters in Economics. He spent his entire career working on Wall Street, as a Commodity Analyst and wrote yearly articles for the Commodity Research Bureau Yearbook. He also enjoyed sharing his knowledge of Economics as a part time professor for over 20 years.
In his leisure hours, he once found pleasure in gardening, sailing, flying, shooting a game of billiards, and a card game. Not only was he known for his wit and fondness for telling jokes, but he also had the opportunity to travel to Europe and Asia. His most cherished travel was when he was able to enjoy sitting on a cruise ship balcony. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
