

Gerald “Jerry” George Gabrial Galarneau, 73, of Deltona, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was the husband of his beloved Patricia "Patsy" Galarneau for the past 48 years. Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, Jerry was the son of the late George E. and Suzanne G. (Reveilhac) Galarneau. Jerry graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Central Falls, Rhode Island and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Jerry was a proud United States Air Force Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War.
Jerry’s career was mostly focused in the jewelry industry, with his last position as Vice President of a jewelry manufacturing company in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. During his retirement, Jerry has been spending lots of time with his family and on the golf course. Throughout his life, Jerry has enjoyed his memberships at various country clubs, specifically Alpine Country Club in Rhode Island and Heathrow Country Club in Florida. The perfect day for Jerry was a round of golf with his buddies in the morning, followed by a quick nap in the afternoon, and spending the evening with his family. Jerry was a faithful Catholic who attended mass regularly at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Debary, Florida. He was also a very passionate supporter for the St. Padre Pio Foundation in Cromwell, CT.
Besides his wife, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Suzanne “Suzie-Q” Galarneau of Casselberry, Florida and his son, Jason “Jayman” Galarneau of Coventry, Rhode Island. He is also survived by his favorite granddogs, Kona, Runner and Charlotte.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jerry at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, located at 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary, Florida 32713 on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects prior to mass from 10-11 A.M. in the Church chapel. Following his funeral, Jerry will receive military honors at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida, located at 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754.

Jerry will be loved and missed by all who knew him, but especially his family until they all are together again in Heaven.
