Jesus "John" Torrado

He was born on May 27, 1941, in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Jose Torrado and Luz Peraza.

John was a pioneer and entrepreneur of Spanish broadcast radio, he was the CEO of J & V Communications, Inc., 5 AM broadcast radio stations in central Florida. Being a humble man, he found pleasure in helping others. John believed in giving everyone an opportunity. Because of his diligence and determination, he paved the way for many local Spanish broadcasters. In his spare time, John enjoyed the radio, listening to music, traveling with his beloved wife and spending precious time with his family. John will be held close in loving memory as a faithful and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. Our lives will never be the same, until we meet again. We love you.

He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife, Virgen Milagro Santiago, three daughters, Jennifer Torrado, Janice (Efrain) Betancourt, Jocelyn (Danny Rodriguez) Torrado; a son, Lucas (Vivian) Soto; seven grandchildren: Shaniece, Charity, Danilyn, Reginald “JR”, Lucas Janiel, Rashelle and Shaila, two sisters, Norma and Mayra Torrado.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Luz Zoraida Torrado.

A private service will be held.
