

Jimmy G. Wolford, age 76, of Deltona, FL, passed away on December 27, 2024. Born on October 27, 1948, in Vulcan, WV, Jim lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and community.
A graduate of Springfield South High School, Jim enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967, serving his country honorably until his discharge in 1979. His commitment to excellence carried into his professional life, where he had a distinguished career at Parrish Medical Center. Jim spent many years leading the Clinical Engineering Department, where his knowledge and leadership were deeply valued.
Jim had a vibrant personality and a passion for life. He was deeply involved in community theater, frequently performing and contributing to productions at the Emma Parrish Theatre in Titusville, FL. A lover of motorcycles, Jim embraced the freedom and adventure of the open road. He loved karaoke, bowling, enjoyed playing poker with friends, and was a diehard Buffalo Bills football fan. He was also a proud member of the Moose Lodge.
Jim was married twice, each union marking significant chapters in his life. He married Debra K. (Nelson) Tasker on May 10, 1969. Though their marriage ended, the experiences they shared shaped his journey and growth. On December 23, 1972, Jim married Nancy J. (Allen) Lindt, with whom he built a family and created a life of love, laughter, and memories. Through his marriages, Jim learned the value of resilience, understanding, and the enduring strength of family bonds.
He is survived by his loving children: Tonya M. Patterson of Rogers, AR, Jason A. Wolford (Faith) of Deltona, FL, and London A. Wolford of Murdock, KS. He was the proud grandfather of Taylor, Aidan, Jacob, Vanessa, Cody, and Mikayla, who will remember him for his love, wisdom, and fun-loving silliness. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Oney, and numerous nieces and nephews, who cherished their time with him.
Jim will be remembered as a devoted father and a proud veteran. His humor and passion touched the lives of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
