He was born on May 4, 1945 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He lived in New York City for the majority of his life, before retiring to Florida in 2005 after a 36 year career with the United States Postal Service. He is a Vietnam veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1968-1973. He loved boxing, mixed martial arts, fishing, music and family gatherings. His smile and laugh were contagious and people were naturally drawn to his presence. He will be sorely missed by many.
He was predeceased by his father, Juan Sr. in 1988. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kim; mother, Margarita; sisters, Edith (Mingo), Norma (Manny) and Carmen; sister in-laws, Ida (Elmer) and Barbara; brother in-laws, Timothy and Mark; children, Debra, Daniel (Mila) and Tyron; grandchildren, Joseph, Ernesto, Anthony, Dominick, Alysa, Tiana, Tylor, Sophia, Jadia, David & Karla; one godson, Michael and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends
