

Lawrence D Hendrickson, 80 years old of DeBary Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 13, 2026. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.He was born in Duluth, Minnesota on March 10, 1946 to Arthur R and Velda V Hendrickson.
Larry graduated from Denfeld High School in 1964 and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Minnesota Technical Institute, April 1966. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jaclyn K Hendrickson on January 15, 1966 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Larry proudly served his country in the Army Reserves from 1964-1970. He also had a career with BNSF Railroad from 1965-1995. His last position was Manager of BNSF Programs, Structures.
He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles Club; HRRVC and the Family Motor Coach Association. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Volusia County, Florida and was a member of the Habitat Care-a-Vanners in Gaston County, North Carolina. Larry coached baseball and football for several years as a volunteer. Whether through his work, hobbies or acts of kindness, he made a lasting impression on many who will remember him.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, Tuesday Trivia at O’Leary’s Irish Pub in DeBary and was proud of having owned two Corvette’s. Larry had a sarcastic sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes, but it always came from a place of love. He also felt privileged to have traveled to all 50 states and to all the providences of Canada in his lifetime.
Larry lived his life as a true example of Christian love - quietly, selflessly and without asking for anything in return. He was president of the church council, an elder and assisted his pastor wherever needed. He was a Stephen Ministry Leader and a Stephen Minister.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Jaclyn K Hendrickson, daughter Danielle (Scott) Arcellano and his son David (Talina) Hendrickson. He has 8 grandchildren: BJ (Kendra) Sherva, Lauren (Robert) Shea, Olivia (Zachary) Weight, Teddy (Kylie) Sherva, Hannah Hendrickson, Alyson (Demetrius) Key, Erin(Mark) Sheppard and Rachel (Sam)Arcellano. He is also blessed with 8 great grandchildren: Levi Sheppard, Tatum Key, Hudson Shea, Parker Sheppard, Myles Key, Emilia Shea, Liam Weight and coming soon: Blake Mrachkovskiy. He is survived by his brother Terry (Shirley) Hendrickson along with many extended family members related through marriage. He will also be remembered by the countless people he befriended throughout his life.
Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, US, on April 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Lutheran Church of Providence, 1696 Providence Blvd, Deltona, FL 32725, US, on April 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Q44J+Q9, Mims, FL 32754, US, on May 21, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
