Luis R. Rivera

He was born on March 9, 1954 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to Emerito and Inocencia Figueroa Rivera. He moved to Deltona, Florida in 1996 from Caguas, Puerto Rico and was a former Postal Clerk at the US Post Office in Orange City, Florida. Luis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Iglesia Edificando Vidas ( Building Lives Church) of Orlando, Florida. He was dedicated to his family and his church and enjoyed baseball and making jokes.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years- Lizette Rivera of Deltona; Mother- Inocencia Figueroa of Caguas, Puerto Rico; 1 Son- Luis R. Rivera Jr. of Kissimmee, Florida; 3 Daughters- Ivis Raquel Rivera of Poinciana, Florida; Sarai Rivera of Deltona; Leslie Ann Rivera of Deltona. 1 Sister- Ana Elba Rivera of Caguas, Puerto Rico and 4 Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be 6:00 PM Friday. September 2, 2011 at Deltona Lakes Baptist Church, 2886 Elkcam Blvd., Deltona, Florida.

Arrangements are under the direction of Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd. , Orange City, Florida.
