Wish we would have known about the service... she was a very special lady and we loved her very much ... until we meet again

My dear cousin, I hate to say goodbye to you. It seems too soon.i have so many memories, I can't begin to write them all. I remember when your father would get paid on  Wednesdays n you would get happy to get your weekly allowance. The next day, I would get money from my mom n we would go to the stores to shop.
We loved Christmas. We would both get same gifts from my mom.  We enjoyed all the holidays.  We were like sisters  n finally we both ended up marrying two brothers.

So many memories and good times with our sweet and dear friend Maria. Going shopping to the Mall was our preferred outing.  My husband would drive us and would wait for us in Barnes and Noble with our dog Niko no less than a couple of hours.
In the department Store, Maria would say jokingly:  “Qué me vas a comprar?” What are you going to buy for me? I would answer jokingly “Lo que quieras” Anything you want.
My dear friend had many clothes and shoes, but sometimes she would add something extra to her wardrobe, especially if it was red.  To close our shopping we would stop by the food court and share something to eat.  I did most of the “sharing”, since her appetite had declined some.  However, a cafecito and something sweet was on her mind, so our next stop would be Starbucks.
When the time to go back home came, Maria would say:  It is time for a nap, which is what I’m sure she did after we dropped her off.
Maria felt blessed with a wonderful family, and often spoke of them and her late husband Louie. 
Maria and Louie loved going on Cruises and she shared with me that when her friend called her about Cruise specials Louie will say “Book it!”
Our friend Maria is no longer with us, but she will live forever in our hearts.

My caring Titi Mary, 
Since I was young, you always treated me so loving and caring. All the summers I spent in the house on Long Island have always been in my memories. Your visits to Florida when you always found time to stop by with Tio louie, always made me and Eddie feel so happy and loved. You are the reason Eddie felt safe to write to you and trusted you would relate his letter with positive advice to me. You are the reason we found eachother again years ago. Eddie and I always gave the credit to you for bringing us back together. The last visit to my house with Louie was such a good visit. I will forever love you Titi. You were my mom's family. My mother loved you so much. Always said she is a beautiful, classy lady. My mom loved the phone conversations for many years. We will miss you. We will love you forever. May you rest in peace, and thank you so much for loving me and caring about me. Bye, titi. I will see you again.

What can Rose and I say about one of the nicest people we were associated with.   We met Marie and Louie when we moved down to Walnut Creek.  They lived across the street and we had an immediate connection.  I remember how she liked to play Banco and Louie loved his Roberto Clemente Domino Table.  We spent a lot of good times together.  They were so in love she used to tell us stories of how Louie was her everything and how they used to go to bed hugging each other.  Unfortunately her Angel (Louie) passed and although she remained Marie to us it was not the same without Louie.  Rose and I always looked forward to playing Sequence (a card game she loved to play).  We would play at least once a week for some years,  we taught the games to our grandchildren and they even played with Marie.  When the boys were over they would always ask to see Maria and had special times with her as well.  We miss her dearly and felt very fortunate to spend time with her and Louie.  When we think of her in our minds she I’d in a better place with her angel Louie.

God has taken my beautiful mother into his loving arms. Although we are truly grateful that we had her for 87 years, our hearts are broken into a million pieces. We know she is at peace and dancing with Dad. Mom, you were the best mother and grandmother. Our love for you will never die. It hurts so much because we loved you so much. Rest in peace my sweet, sweet mother. We will love you forever and ever. Until we meet again.

My heart weeps for Maria! I remember, like it was yesterday, how I met Maria and her husband, Luis. As I was unloading my groceries in the condo complex, where we both lived, they asked me if I  would  like to be friends. That was the beginning of a heartfelt and wonderful friendship. I will miss Maria very much, although I didn’t see her often, she was always in my thoughts.
