

She was born on April 4, 1939, in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Minerva lived a life rooted in love, family, and creativity. She had a gentle spirit and found great joy in sewing and crafts, often sharing her talents with those around her.
Minerva was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Howard Velázquez-López, whom she married in 1958.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Howard Velázquez Jr., José Velázquez, Adriana Velázquez, Carlos J. Velázquez, and Emery Velázquez.
She was a proud grandmother to Howard Omar Velázquez, Emmanuel Velázquez, Ismael Velázquez, Carlos Julián Velázquez, Jean Carlos Velázquez, Emery Jr. Velázquez, Alexander Velázquez, Ariana Minely Velázquez, Emily A. Velázquez, and Wilmarie F. Cruz. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her memory forward.
Minerva is also survived by her siblings, Luz S. Bonilla and Manuel C. Bonilla.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, and the love she poured into her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
