

Born on January 22, 1946, in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, Nilda lived a life devoted to her family, faith, and community. She was a proud homemaker and worked for many years in the pharmaceutical industry. A woman of deep compassion and strong character, she raised five children and helped raise three grandchildren—a testament to her selfless dedication and enduring love.
Nilda was the heart of her family. Known for her incredible cooking and baking, she could create a meal out of anything and always had a treat ready for those she loved. Her home was a place of comfort and warmth, filled with laughter, good food, and open arms.
Above all, Nilda was a woman of faith. A devoted Christian, she was committed to her church and her walk with God, setting an example of grace and resilience for all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fernando Rodriguez; her cherished daughter, Carmen Rosa; her sister, Carmen Elsa; and her parents Oscar Cintron and Candida Torres.
Nilda leaves behind a legacy of love through her children and their spouses: Linda and Guillermo, Fernando and Michael, Adrian and Isabel, Barbara and Alex; and her grandchildren: David, Eric, Annie, Jennifer, Rosemary, Adrian, Lissette, Adrienne, Gabriel, Pedro, and Luis Fernando; and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister Nilsa and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
A visitation for family and friends for Nilda will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. The funeral service begin at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens.
Nilda will be remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she poured into every meal, every visit, and every embrace. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
