CAPT Paul Andrew Moore Jr., USN (Retired)

CAPT. Paul A. Moore, Jr. USN Retired, 62, passed away on January 4, 2013 at home in DeBary, FL after a long illness from a cerebral aneurysm. P.A. was born in Bethesda, MD into a US Navy family. He grew up in MD, VA, NC and SC.

He attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, where he met and married Deborah Preston. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into the Navy in 1972 and began his naval career in Pensacola, Florida. He was stationed all over the world and made many wonderful Navy friends. P.A. was preceded in death by his father, CAPT. Paul A. Moore. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Deborah P. Moore and 5 children, Paul Moore, lll of California, Christopher Moore (Sadie) of Eustice, FL, Tamara Breczinski (Christian) of Wadena, MN, Veronica Moore of St. Augustine, FL and Ensign David Moore of Pensacola, FL.

P.A.’s memory will continue through his 6 grandchildren, Zoe, Paulie, Andrew, Gabriel, John and Sophia. P.A. is survived by his mother, Margaret Moore of Viera, FL, his sister, Marcie Crume (Bill) of Dallas, TX and his brother, Tom Moore (Linda) of Melbourne Beach, FL; two nephews, J.T. and Nick and one niece, Noelle of Melbourne Beach, FL. P.A. will always be remembered by those he served with by land, by sea and by air.

The Moore family wishes to especially thank nurses, Nola Sawyer, Wanda Johnson and Maribel Vasquez, OT and Alfredo and Cindy Portillo, Nello and Giovanna Ianiello, who have always been there to help.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on January 9, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary, FL 32713.
