Robert John Fitzgerald Jr.

Robert J. Fitzgerald Jr. of Orlando, FL, formerly of South Boston, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday August 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs FL.

After a courageous battle with liver and kidney failure at the age of 63. Born on June 18, 1952 in South Boston MA. Son of the late Robert J. Fitzgerald Sr. and Dorothy (Ewell) Fitzgerald. Robert was a lifelong resident of South Boston, MA while enjoying a home in Orlando FL.

Robert worked as a cook at the Hilltop restaurant in Saugas, MA and with Marty's Catering in Malden, MA. He was amazing for what people knew he did, but even more amazing for how many things he quietly did that people didn't know. He enjoyed reading, fishing and being around his grandchildren.

He is survived by his lifelong friend Donna Lindsey, his three devoted and loving children. Pamela Simpson of Quincy, Ma. Nicole Fitzgerald and her late husband Keith Leslie of Orlando FL. KerriAnne (Fitzgerald) Scott and her husband Jason Scott of Debary FL. and his cherished 7 grandchildren. Arika Fox, Andrea McKeon, Anthony J. Crumbley, Tianna Fitzgerald, Aniyah Baker, and Aliana J. Simpson, and the granddaughter he sponsored in another country, Esther. His late dear friend Kathy Kingsbury and his step son John Kingsbury. In addition he is survived by many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and numerous friends. Brother of the late Russell W. Fitzgerald Sr., Patricia O'Neill and her late husband Gerald O'Neill, William J. Fitzgerald and his wife Dorothy J. Fitzgerald, Joanne F. Gavelis, Sandra J. Fitzgerald, Dee Fisher and her husband Jeff Fisher

Family and Relatives are respectively invited to attend a Private Memorial service at the Deltona Memorial Funeral Home 1295 Saxon Boulevard Orange City, FL. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL
