The Krocka family lived next door to me and my family in Ridgefield Park. While Sharon and I were older, Valerie was always in the picture - the tag-along little sister. I smile thinking of those days. Though I saw her rarely in her adult years, Danise kept me updated. I do remember talking to Valerie after Rosalie was born...how happy she was!  Big- hearted is a very accurate description of Valerie.  
My heart goes out to you Rosalie, Jerry, Sharon, Ronnie and family.  I pray that happy memories help you through the sadness.

I had the honor of working with Val her last 4 years at AT&T before the lay off and enjoyed her friendship and laughter.  She will be missed.  She talked about her family and the joys of being a grandmother.  She is now with GOD and his love. She will be missed but never forgotten.


My Dearest Friend Valerie,

Where do I begin?  We have been friends forever!!  From growing up together, playing in your back yard pool, walking to and from school, creating summer fun up in Cape Cod, eating boxes of Ring Dings and sharing all of our deepest secrets.  You were always my true friend.  Someone who stood by me no matter what.  Even when we would be a part for years, whenever we reconnected, it was like we just saw or talked with each other the day before.  Time never stood in our way.  We always picked up right where we had left off.  That in itself is pretty amazing and I believe it to be very rare.
You were a great daughter, a wonderful mother and a very special, loving and terrific friend.  You will be very much missed and you already are.  Thank you so much for calling me the other day.  I will treasure our last conversation, forever.  I know you are back home in Heaven, I know you will always be with us and I know I will see you again one day my friend.  Until then, know I will carry your memory and our friendship in my heart for the rest of my days.  I love you.......Danise (Tonto)

I had the honor meeting Val through a friend,  Tom Woods and Greg and later worked with her in problem and change control in the AT&T.control center.  She was an excellent worker and friend. She will be missed.  One thing is you will never forget her laugh. I can not attend the services but want her family know that my thoughts and prayers go out to you.  She is now with GOD and what a wonderful place that must be now that she is there.

Rose, although I did not know your mother, I feel she must have been an incredible woman to have raised and nurtured such a beautiful and loving daughter like you! I wish Amber and I could be at the Memorial Service with you and your family!

Val and I clicked the first night we met at work, way back in 1991. She was on loan from New Jersey, and she was helping me to learn my job. I was so excited when I learned that she was going to transfer and move down to Florida. She, Tom Woods and I became the "Three Musketeers" of Console Ops at the good old AT&T. I never really socialized with coworkers outside of work until I came to Florida. There were so many fun times we shared together away from the office. I miss Val already. Right now it's so painful, but experience has taught me that over time, it will hurt a little less and a little less, leaving a very warm feeling in my heart that will stay with me the rest of my days. To Rosalie, Jerry and the rest of the family, I am so very, very sorry, but be comforted in knowing that it will get better over time. I love you all.

Sending my condolences to the Cook family. Remembering the times when my dad would bring me by your house in Westwood NJ, and your mom was always so sweet. Rosalie - I am so sorry for the loss of your mom...  She had to have been a great lady as she created such a great daughter in you!!  I'm sure she was so proud of you and she had every right to that.  You are in my thoughts and prayers... Love you!!!

Valerie was a wonderful big hearted lady. I will always remember the times spent with her over the years. She always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh. I don't think I can ever remember a time with her that she wasn't having a good time. I'll miss you Valerie. :(
