

He was born on February 19, 1929, the son of Edward and Eva Mary VanTassel Brubaker. William was a disabled veteran of the Korean War. He was a Michigan State Park Ranger for ten years. He was an owner, builder and operator of Sandy Shores Resort and Tall Timber Campground at Silver Lake, Michigan. They moved to Daytona Beach in 1980. He owned and operated Cozy Circle Mobile Home Park of Daytona Beach, Florida prior to his retirement. He loved to fish and hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eva Brubaker, his brother, Donald Brubaker and his sister, Muriel Feldt, all of Mears, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; a daughter, Brenda Dold; two sons, Brent and Bradley (Kim) Brubaker; three granddaughters, Devin Dold, Brooke and Nicole Brubaker; two sisters, Beverly (Chuck) Stafford of Muskegon, MI and Dorothy (Jack) Rought of Pentwater, MI; his sisters-in-law, Martha Brubaker of Mears, MI and Kay (Dave) Pedrin of Cadillac, MI; plus many nieces and nephews.
He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all.
Friends may call on Monday morning, August 8th from 9:30 - 10 am at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8th at 10:00 am at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Port Orange, Florida on August 8, 2011.
