

Alton Williams, 83, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2016. He was born on March 27, 1932 to the late Leon and Aggie Chase Williams. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Worrell; brother, Milton Casey; granddaughters: Rebekah and Katy Williams. He is survived by his wife, Mary Williams; sister, Mildred Gray; brother-in-law, JB Worrell; son, Kim (Debby) Williams; daughters: Cheryl (Gary) Plummer and Michele (Terry) Padgett; grandchildren: Kaleb, Joshua, Emily, Ezra and Annalise Williams, Ryan and Bradley Plummer, Chad and Courtney Padgett. He has 3 great grandchildren. He retired after serving 22 years in the Navy, as a MMCS (SS). He also retired from Clay County Schools Maintenance and Operations after 21 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange Park where he also worked in maintenance. He has been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 55 years.
Visitation will be held at 10 AM with funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Orange Park, 1140 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park with Pastor David Tarkington officiating. Burial to follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial donations to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church Orange Park.
