Barbara J. Peterson

Barbara Jean Peterson, age 90, passed away on April 16, 2013. She was born on January 19, 1923 to Delmar and Verna Tuft in San Francisco, CA and resided in Orange Park, FL. Mrs. Peterson was married to Milton J. Peterson, they were married for 52 years until Milton passed in 1994. Barbara is survived by her 2 daughters : Eloise Davis of Leesburg FL and Leslie Sheffield of Orange Park FL. Barbara leaves behind many loving friends and family including her Grandchildren: Nick Sheffield and Anthony Spinelli and his wife, Jennifer; son-in laws: John Sheffield and Brad Davis; her great grand children: Sophia and Reilly Spinelli; and her loving dogs: Ottie and Tina. Barbara was a stay at home mom raising her daughters, volunteering, and taking care of her beautiful yard. She loved animals and walked her dog everyday for years on Blanding Blvd. A brief interment service will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at Magnolia Cemetery, 1040 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL. In lieu of Flowers Barbara would ask to donate to Safe Animal Shelter of Orange Park as well as Haven Hospice that took compassionate care of her.
