I am so sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. He was my Sunday school teacher and then priesthood leader when he was a Mormon Elder. He always shared inspiring stories. His lunch meetings to talk about Jesus and the scriptures were often reported in quorum meetings. He shared love with a lot of people and he had a broad view of the importance of family. Prayers of comfort to all who knew his whole story. God Bless.

It was great seeing Bruce at our high school class 60th birthday party this past summer.  South Liberty Elementary school was well represented at this party, and we thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days.  He remembered offering to carry my cello for me  -- so like Bruce to do for others.  My most sincere sympathy is with all of you, and especially with Susan.  May God be with you always.

Burce was a great guy. Whenever he visited Alliance, his home town, he would go out of his way and take time to visit with my husband, Gregory Giacometti, who passed alway July 25, 2010 of ALS.  Bruce was such a good friend and I will alway remember the laughter that came from both of them.  I pray they are together now laughing and talking, as they so often did, of their years in high school together, and the "neighborhood". Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences to the family and friends of Bruce.  I will miss him greatly.  He was one of the finest! He let his light so shine that others may see.  You can call him "Christian" without any hesitation.  In the many years that I have know him I can remember one of the best lessons he taught to me as his friend is "discretion is the better part of valor".   Oh how I learned so many, many things from him.  I will miss talking with him and sharing my deepest thoughts without him judging me.  That is truly a friend.  He was always there to bail me out when I would need a  helping hand and likewise, I would do the same for him.  He could fix anything, even a broken heart.   My heart is broken with his passing.   He truly has a legacy.   In his passing, I would like to share a few words I believe he would have said if he could have.  "To my family and friends,  Be all that you can be and walk uprightly before the Lord, follow in his footsteps and pray often.  Choose your words wisely, you can never take them back. Your character is more important than gold and diamonds.  Practice the golden rule.  Love your friends and family unconditionally just as God loves you." 

Bruce, our friendship will last forever.   I will truly miss you.

Bruce, I have known you for the past 16 years and we have seen good time's and had dissagreements, but everything considered, you will be missed totally.  I have lost my co-worker and bowling teammate and will miss the good strikes you had in front of me. I have learned much from you over the years. I know you are with God that is truly evident by the way you lived your life.

It’s been over 10 years that I’ve known Bruce at JEA. Many years ago, when I found out that one of his hobbies was metal detecting, I managed to make a couple of trips out to the beach with him where he let me borrow one of his detectors. I still have the rings I found on those trips. He returned the set of keys he found to their owner after hunting them down. I will always remember these times fondly and will greatly miss Bruce’s friendship.

I had just sat with him at the TS Xmas party in mid-December where he caught me up on what was going on in his life since we hadn’t talked in a while. Bruce was a great friend and I’m very sorry that he’s gone. Prayers with the family.

I have worked with Bruce for 20 years and we have made great strive in growth within Technology Services.  His view on life always made me think at different angles and I have always experience an opportunity of growth being around him.

Bruce will be dearly missed at JEA and in this world.  When I met Bruce I could tell he had a peaceful and helpful soul.  My prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends during this time.

I am so sorry for your loss.   I met Bruce when JEA was handling the help desk for the School Board.  He was always so helpful and friendly.  I love the fact that you could call in after trying your best to fix something and by the time you got off the phone you were laughing.  He had a gift about him.  He will be missed.

I have heard Bruce's voice for so long when I called the Help Desk at JEA, I am going to miss hearing his voice and will think of him often, especially when I call the Help Desk, will miss you Bruce.

Bruce was a member of JEA's Technology Family, always willing to lend a hand when someone was in need.   We will all miss his gentle smile and caring heart.  God Bless his family at this time.

Met Bruce in the mid-90's when I transferred from City Hall to the JEA.  In the fondest sense of the word, he was a character.  I could always count on Bruce for his dry sense of humor...many times, looking for his cue that he was joking.

I knew Bruce through work at JEA.  Bruce was always one of those people that made you smile.  Whether it was a quick witted joke, or his infamous funny safety pictures, Bruce enjoyed laughter.  What a sense of humor!  In addition to his humor, I knew Bruce as a compassionate person that cared for people.  I've known him to freely donate his earned leave time to help fellow workers who were gravely ill.  You may have never known this about Bruce, because he gave freely and without any expectations.  He genuinely cared for his fellow beings.  His actions reflect his caring compassion far better than my words could ever convey.  Bruce--you’ll be missed!

My favorite comment of Bruce was "Thats what guys do". At a staff Christmas party he showed up with a bunch of movies, found the shot gun seat and the remote and began a movie marathon. Bruce was comfortable wherever he was, I will miss his sense of humor and funny comments. When asked what he was watching he commented at parties "Thats what guys do" (sit down and watch movies)

We will all see you again one day Bruce, I know Jesus prepared a place for you.

I'm very sorry for your lose.   Mr. Goshorn was a very caring and loving man.  I will hold on to all the memories I have of him.   May God Bless you all and hold you close to his heart during this time.

Bruce was a member of my Sunday School Class at Southside Baptist Church. He was known for his ability to quote so many stories, poems, and bible related events. He had the gift of singing in our church choir, participating in drama presentations, and quoting an extremely long poem by heart at St. Patrick's Theatrics. My last memory of Bruce was seeing both he and Susan at our Christmas Eve Candlelight service at church. We will miss him.

Bruce and I attended AOL "A" School together in Jacksonville, Florida when in the Navy. Once we graduated, we both received orders to VF-101 at NAS Boca Chica in the Florida keys. I will never forget the train trip we took from Jacksonville to Washington, DC.We pulled an all-nighter drinking beer in the club car with other military men. Bruce was fun, amiable and always ready to get into something. He will be missed.

I was shocked to hear this sad and sudden news.  I had just recently traded emails with Bruce.  I graduated with Bruce from Alliance High School and 1968 and knew him well though our high school years.  I recall that we took a trip together to Cedar Point and another attraction, The Blue Hole that we often joked of when we met. I just saw Bruce the past summer in Alliance when we attended the Alliance High School Class of 1968 We’ve Turned 60 picnic.  I extend my sincerely condolences to all of Bruce’s family and friends.

I only knew Bruce through my work at JEA, toastmasters, and afterwards sharing a few humorous stories by email. Bruce was stalwart, a great colleague. I always enjoyed his support when working through the IT innerworkings of JEA.  He had a great sense of humor--when I shared that our son had joined the marines he said: "Wayne, do you know what NAVY stands for.....Never Again Volunteer Yourself"
