

Frances Carolyn (Stephens) Stoner died on Friday, June 19, 2015. Born circa 1935 in Jacksonville to the late William and Frances (Allen) Stephens. She is predeceased by her husband, Austin D. Stoner, and is survived by daughters Janet Whitehead (Dan), Judy Gustafson, Jennifer DuBose (David), four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and FSU. Carolyn was one of the original members of the FSU Circus. She sold real estate for 29 years and participated in several organizations: Orange Park UMC, FSU Alumni Club, FSU Booster Club and Elks Lodge 1892. She was formerly a Blue Bird and Brownie leader, member of Southside Women’s Club and Garden Club of Jacksonville. She loved traveling to various destinations in Europe and around the world. Her favorite job was volunteering at the Clothes Closet of Orange Park for 18 years. She loved fishing, singing, dancing, bridge and trivia. She was a life force of joy all her own and will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 7-9 PM at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fl 32073. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11 AM at Orange Park United Methodist Church with Dr. Charles Lever officiating. Interment will take place at 3 PM at Riverside Memorial Park. The family wishes any memorial contributions be made to The Clothes Closet of Orange Park and/or Wounded Warriors Project.
