
Edward James Brazier, or “Ted” called affectionately “Bop” by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 98 years old, died April 12, 2011 quietly in his sleep. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Louise (Peggy). He is survived by his children David A. Brazier of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Nancy M, Brazier Poff of Orange Park, Florida. He leaves four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, James Poff (Dawn), Joshua and Jacob of Orange Park, Susan Poff Parmelee (Rex), Caroline, Noah and Amelia of Honolulu, Hawaii, Rebecca L. Poff of Jacksonville, and Catherine (Katie) Nicholas, (Pat) and Ansley of Lynn Haven, FL. Born August 30, 1912, the son of the late Maude and Fred Brazier of Norwood, Ohio, he had 1 brother, Louis Brazier and 4 sisters, Virginia, Mary Dean and Shirley Carlson Mayberry who all predeceased him. He retired from Ford Motor Company and moved with Peggy to Ellenton and Parrish, FL where they resided for many years. In 2003 he moved to the Allegro in Orange Park, passing his last years there. He was a longtime Bingo caller. He loved to work word search puzzles and always had a funny joke to tell and anyone who knew him will miss his gentleness and kindness. Private burial services will be held by the family and a memorial service will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Advent Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Hale officiating.
